Floatswitches
Available in tank-filling, tank-emptying or dual acting versions with 5m or 10m of cable attached, with or without cable weights. These items can be bagged with your own brand, company name or logo. Ask our sales office for details.
Pressure switches
Popular sizes are 0-6 bar and 6-12 bar. Other ranges are available. Ask for details.
Pressure gauges
Our popular range is 0-6 bar and 0-12 bar. Both are available with ¼in BSP rear or bottom entry. Other types are available.
Low level probe controls
Our standard model protects against dry running of borehole pumps, but we can produce this control equipment to suit your individual needs.

Valves and accessories
Lever valves
Amos clear-flow lever valves are available in a full range of BSP sizes from ½in to 2in. They are standard units manufactured in quality brass and stainless steel, fitted with plastic-sheathed handles.
Non-return valves
A swing check valve has a brass flap within it which is pushed aside when water flows in the proper direction. Sizes from ½in to 2in brass in stock. Larger sizes and other materials are available.
Spring-loaded foot valves
Non-submersible, non-self-priming pumps will cease to function if the water level falls too low and water drains out of the pump and the suction pipe. A foot valve is an essential fitting where this is a risk. Amos brass foot valves in BSP sizes from ½in to 3in double as non-return valves. They include detachable stainless steel strainers to exclude debris.
In-line strainers
Available in ½in, ¾in and 1in BSP sizes, Amos quality brass in-line strainers feature a removable 400µ mesh strainer in stainless steel.
5-way and 3-way tees
Amos three-way brass tees include one 1in BSP male and two 1in BSP female threads. Five-way tees also include one ¼in BSP male and one ¼in BSP female thread.
Plumbing fittings
Amos stock a range of standard plumbing items such as unions, elbows, gate valves and pipe to allow our customers to source all they require in one convenient order.

Electrical accessories
Pumps and sensing equipment are powered by electricity. As well as the switches mentioned above, a range of accessories can be required to complete an installation. These include waterproof plugs and sockets, alarm beacons for use in sewage-pumping installations, and a wide choice of single and multi-core cable. Our engineers will be pleased to advise you on your requirements. Specialist items include:
Heat shrink joint kits
Underwater cable joints - between a borehole pump tail and its HO7RNF cable, for example - must obviously remain watertight. This is most easily achieved using a simple heat shrink kit. Standard kits are available for 1.5mm and 2.5mm four-core cables. Other sizes are available. Ask about packaging with your own brand name.
