Clean and palatable

Water purification falls naturally into two sections: removing solid particles and the destruction of micro-organisms to make it safe; and chemically balancing the supply to make it palatable.

Filtering out solids, right down to 5µ if desired, is easily achieved using an Amos filter with appropriate filter element; disinfection requires passing the supply through a safe, small, inexpensive ultra-violet tube where micro-organisms are rendered harmless. Click here for more information on filtration and disinfection.

Chemical balance is carried out by passing the supply through a vessel containing the right materials to adjust the composition of the water. Laboratory analysis is needed to reveal its constituents - it might contain too much iron, manganese or other elements, for example, or high-nitrogen agricultural run-off; in many places it may be too acid and require neutralising.

Whatever the problem, Amos can supply equipment and the proper media mix to correct it. Click here for more information on water treatment.
